A good link

It's always been a gigantic fear of mine that the world is actually populated by FAR more cretins than I ever imagined, and this fear is mostly based on browsing reader comments on popular sites such as youtube, the BBC, and CNN. If an alien spacecraft landed in the middle of the WWW and stumbled across the youtube comments page he'd be forgiven for believing the Earth to be populated exclusively by teenaged fascists with sub-thousand-word vocabularies. If this same alien - in shock and disarray - then navigated to the BBC, and its tragi-comic 'have your say' pages, he would soon find that the reality was far far worse: that the purported adults of the species were infinitely more prejudiced, illogical, and lumpen.

And don't get me started on CNN, which glories in being able to attract a global cabal of lunatics and bigots to its comment pages. Awesome.

So this site amused/reassured me.
