Aquatticus Jae

It was Gabriella's (Grace's sister-in-law's daughter) first birthday party this weekend.  So we packed up the car and took our yearly trip down to Tinley Park to visit Grace's in-laws.  It's almost always guaranteed a good time since they have tons of food, a pool, a huge backyard and tons of cool people to talk to.  Not sure why we don't make it down there more often, the hour and a half drive and the fact that our son HATES car rides might have something to do with it.

Atticus was not too keen about his first pool/lake experience so we were a little worried he might not enjoy the Casey pool that much but we were oh so wrong.  He LOVED it and since I'm 18 or 19 weeks (I keep forgetting) pregnant and didn't want to subject people to the grotesque sight of human + beached whale, I decided to stay out and snap pictures while Ben and my sister played with him in the pool.  

At first, he didn't know what to think.

Also unsure about the pool lift.

But very soon he made up his mind that the pool is AWESOME.

He even discovered that you can really chill out in the pool.
